Our most successful diaper drive

Community Giving Tree has many people to thank for making the February Diaper Drive our biggest one yet. Community members contributed diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream in person and through our on-line needs list. Local pre-schools served as collection sites. With all these efforts, hundreds of babies in Essex County received much needed infant care products, which eases the financial burden on hundreds of low-income mothers. A special thank you this month to Products America for donating the necessary hardware to complete two cribs.

Help Make All Mothers Feel Special

Community Giving Tree is collecting new personal care items for mothers-in-need through the month of April. You can help by dropping off donations of women’s toiletries or by sponsoring a Mother’s Day Bath & Body Gift Bag. [Drive Details] All donations will be distributed to women in Essex County for Mother’s Day.

Donate Goods through GivingSomeThing

It’s easy for supporters to donate goods to Community Giving Tree through a new partnership with GivingSomeThing.com. Items purchased from our Needs List are shipped directly to Community Giving Tree and then distributed to low income families in Essex County. Donors decide how their dollars are spent and feel confident that their donations are meeting the needs of local residents.

Volunteer on Saturdays 9am-Noon — Youth and Adults

Community service opportunities for youth and adults are available one Saturday each month. Kids under age 13 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Volunteer at the Giving Center(Directions) to help receive and package donations that will be provided to needy families.
