Donate Goods through GivingSomeThing
It’s easy for supporters to donate goods to Community Giving Tree through a new partnership with GivingSomeThing.com. Items purchased from our Needs List are shipped directly to Community Giving Tree and then distributed to low income families in Essex County. Donors decide how their dollars are spent and feel confident that their donations are meeting the needs of local residents.
2011 Holiday Distribution – A Huge Success!

More volunteers turned out to help with the Holiday Giveaway on Wednesday, December 14. Because of the community’s generous donations of time and gifts, we were able to help almost 100 social service agents bring holiday joy to 770 children. “It’s a great way to give back during the holidays,” says Masconomet senior Sarah Levenson, “It’s nice to know that someone will be happy when they open the gifts that we’ve put together”.
Since September, we have distributed more than 500 coats. Thank you to all our volunteers and donors who helped Essex County families during the Holiday Season.

Community Giving Tree Received over $2.5K from Charity Girls

Sue Fowler, Community Giving Tree volunteer and Charity Girl member, presented a check for $2,660 to Leslie Levenson, Executive Director, at the December 2011 awards ceremony.
Thanks to the Charity Girls, Community Giving Tree will continue to provide gently used clothing and baby gear to the families of Essex County.
Toy Fair 2011 Raised $20,000 for our Programs!
Four truck loads of donated books, bikes and toys were added to the constant flow of toys brought directly to Coolidge Hall on October 22 & 23 for the 21st Annual Used Toy Fair.
Many thanks to the scout groups, high school kids,karate students, and confirmation participants who helped our dedicated volunteers collect and sort toys over the week.
All left over toys, books, bikes and games were given to deserving charities. This was a great community effort.
